GEORGE R. LAWRENCE (1949–2016)
The ECG Group was founded in 1998 by George R. Lawrence (1949–2016). George reinvented the way energy performance contracts are procured by developing ECG’s energy performance engineering (EPE) technical owner’s representation services. Under his guidance, ECG has provided EPE services for over $1 billion in energy efficient construction. This work has had an immeasurable, lasting positive environmental and financial impact on educational and municipal communities throughout New York, Pennsylvania and Connecticut.
George’s nurturing values and innovative teachings will continue to be at the heart of everything we do at ECG—so that we may continue the legacy of our beloved founder, mentor, and friend.
